A complex brand requires a thoughtful solution that can accomodate yet not add to the complexity. Remington and Wolcott, two small Indiana towns shared a school and three counties.
To bring them together and enable them to tell their story more cohesively, Element Three developed an integrative identity as well as two unique identities resulting from ‘separating out’ the logo’s parts. A bright, colorful flower design representing the area’s natural haven, its residents’ friendliness and the peony, Indiana’s state flower, was applied across all media and outreach efforts, both electronic and non-electronic. Trucks, signage and invitations were integrated into the new brand’s palette.
Results? Remington Wolcott was recognized as a Main Street Community by Indiana Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman. It raised $250,000 in private donations in one year and attracted substantial involvement by Purdue University and Ball State University.
